The pineapple fruit, when ripe, is acidic taste and often sweetened. With the pineapple fruit pulp can be prepared juices, soft drinks, cocktails, ice creams, creams, candies, jams, yogurt and cakes. Can also be used in cooking as a powerful meat tenderizer.

Pineapple is a good source of vitamins A and B1, manganese and reasonable source of vitamin C. One portion of 300 ml of pineapple juice can contain about 12% natural sugar and 1% of organic acids (particularly citric acid).
